Log coffins have been discovered in limestone caves in Sabah, among which are situated in caves in Sungai Lokan, Sungai Kinabatangan, Sungai Segama and in other such caves. It was made from local hardwoods like belian or merbau. These burials were usually accompanied by grave goods such as weapons, food and personal adornments.
