How to get to Muzium Negara
By Bus
Board the RapidKL bus No. 115 (payment of RM 2.00 per day for KL City Shuttle) from KL Sentral. The KL Hop-on Hop-off bus service is also available where the bus stop to the National Museum is at bus stop No. 12.
By KTM Commuter and Rapid Kelana Jaya Line (Previously known as Putra LRT)
From KL Sentral, you need to walk within 0.5 km to the National Museum using the pedestrian walkways by following the signs provided.
By MRT
Take the MRT and head straight to the National Museum Station.

Comfortable parking areas are available at the National Museum.

Food and Drinks
Dine on a wide variety of food and snacks available at the National Museum Cafeteria. Food and beverages are not allowed in the National Museum.
Elevator and Wheelchair Facilities
An elevator is provided for wheelchair visitors to the National Museum. Wheelchairs are also available upon request. Please contact the National Museum Information Counter at (03) 2267 1111 (general line) for more information.
Taking Pictures
Photography and video taking are allowed in the exhibition gallery for personal use only. For commercial purposes, please obtain permission by writing to the Director General, Department of Museums Malaysia. Museum Shop
Located on the ground floor near the National Museum exit. Some fascinating collections can be purchase at reasonable prices such as book collections, compact disc videos where they can be made as souvenirs as well as gifts while visiting the National Museum. Each material sold has its historical significance.
What Else Is Nearby
There is plenty to see. Malaysia's beautiful Lake Garden located not too far from the Muzium Negara. Visitors can also visit the Tugu Negara (the National Monument) or experience the bird watching at the nearby Bird Park.
Admission Fees and Opening Hours
- 9 am to 5 pm (last admission is 5.00 pm)
- Opens everyday except the first day of Aidil Fitri and Aidil Adha
- Closed every first Monday of the month
