National Museum
This gallery explores the history of the nationalist movement led by national figures until the establishment of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) in 1946. The strong voices demanding rights and full liberation from British control were championed by various groups from different ethnicities, leading the country to regain independence as a free and sovereign nation on August 31, 1957, through negotiations. On September 16, 1963, the nation took another step forward with the inclusion of Sabah, Sarawak, and Singapore (1963-1965). This gallery also showcases the achievements of the country after independence, up to the formation of Malaysia in 1963, as well as the present day.
